That’s the view of Patrick Duffy, the founder of Global Fashion Exchange - an international sustainable fashion platform - who led a UN conference panel this week, on the use of clothing as a vehicle for change.

Every year landmines and other explosive hazards kill or injure thousands of people across the globe. Explosive remnants of war block the delivery of humanitarian assistance, prevent children from going to school and stop farmers from working their land. The United Nations locates, removes and destroys explosive hazards, sensitises affected populations, especially children to their risks and assists victims, their families and communities.
